The Cornerstone Christian School

The Perfect Class Pet

Last Updated 12/28/2022Posted in Roar Articles

What makes the perfect class pet? The combination of cuteness and learning opportunities...and the absence of the mess!

This year Grade 1 adopted a cow through the Discover Dairy program.

Our students were matched with Liberty, a Holstein calf at Fort Hill Farm, right here in CT!  The students received an update letter with photos of Liberty, her mother, and the farm. The updates also include educational tidbits about dairy farming and Liberty's needs.

Ms. B shared that the students are enjoying this process and are learning a lot.  The extra lessons that are provided are a bonus!

Meet our cow, Liberty!
