The third grade had a great field trip to the Noah Webster House in West Hartford recently. We learned quite a lot about colonial life and how Mr. Webster grew up. His mother even got a “modern” kitchen with an oven and arm to hang pots on. Students practiced cleaning wool and working a hand loom. They also played with a few toys of the time. Our guides were impressed with how much the students knew about Mr. Webster and his work.
